INBOUND VISIT FROM STUDENTS STATE UNIVERSITY OF MEDAN, INDONESIA TO CENTRE FOR INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND MULTIMEDIA

The Center for Instructional Technology and Multimedia, USM, and the State University of Medan, Indonesia, have initiated a strategic collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with an Inbound Visit activity to USM, Malaysia, starting from September 17, 2023, until September 23, 2023.

Throughout the visit, the delegation from the State University of Medan, Indonesia, was introduced to the facilities, services, content, and culture at the Center for Teaching and Multimedia Technology, USM. Additionally, the delegation was exposed to instructional technology elements through a series of technology workshops conducted by postgraduate lecturers and students at the Center.

This included hands-on activities involving AR/VR, gamification, learning theories, and more. Furthermore, this visit has opened up opportunities for faculty members from both institutions to collaborate in implementing academic or research-oriented activities in the future.

LAWATAN “INBOUND” PELAJAR DAN PENSYARAH DARI UNIVERSITAS NEGERI MEDAN, INDONESIA KE PUSAT TEKNOLOGI PENGAJARAN DAN MULTIMEDIA, UNIVERSITI SAINS MALAYSIA

Pusat Teknologi Pengajaran dan Multimedia, USM dan Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia telah memulakan kerjasama strategik MOU dengan aktiviti Lawatan Inbound ke USM, Malaysia mulai 17 September 2023 sehingga 23 September 2023. Sepanjang lawatan tersebut, delegasi dari Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia telah diperkenalkan kepada kemudahan, perkhidmatan serta Intipati dan budaya di PTPM, USM. Di samping itu, delegasi telah didedahkan kepada elemen teknologi instruksi melalui beberapa siri bengkel teknologi yang telah dikelolakan oleh pensyarah dan pelajar pascasiswazah di PTPM. Ini termasuk aktiviti praktikal dalam AR/VR, gamifikasi, learning theories dan lain-lain. Selain itu juga, lawatan ini telah membuka ruang kepada pensyarah di kedua-dua institusi berganding bahu dalam melaksanakan aktiviti berunsurkan akademik atau penyelidikan di masa hadapan.
